Reto

NO.1

"When you wake up in the morning, Pooh...what's the first thing you say to yourself?" ..."I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?" said Piglet.

We can abandon the idea that we SHOULD do something. Instead, we choose to do it. And we would feel more better to do it.

——Reto Winckler

NO.2

“The wise are who they are.”

NO.3

“How can you get very far, if you don’t know who you are?”

I am very glad to discuss and share my views with all of you and Teacher Reto Winckler in this offline reading salon. All the speeches were wonderful, from which I learned more about the contents contained in The Tao of Pooh During the process of communication, what impressed me most was "forget everything" and the asked people shared it was particularly interesting and fascinating. For me, it's hard for me to forget everything, and I also couldn't get into a similar state. In any case, in addition to sleep, my brain always thinks about one thing at least, so sometimes I would admire those who can enter the state of the brain blank. Besides, when I first read the book, I was shocked by the"teahouse". We save time by working non-stop, eating fast food and using all kinds of time-saving devices, yet we are more likely to feel time deprived than people who didn't have these devices hundreds of years ago. And all that time is wasted because you try so hard to save it.

The Tao is just like The yin that cool down our society and our inner self, meanwhile the world nowadays is more likely to be The yang: we are stressful when we find ourselves have difficulty in falling asleep; we see serious global warming as every country is developing economy, competing with each other and negotiating. Therefore, we feel as if we've failed to be ture to ourselves: we're no longer carefree, curious and free. Waking up in the moring, do you choose to work or you're supposed to work? When asked what day is your favorite day, what would you answer? Is it "Today!" ?Reto recommended us a wonderful way of relaxing and "waking up" to a clear mind ---Information Fast, which is fairly provoking in such an overwhelming information era.

In the end, wish every individual in stress and struggle eventually realize inner peace following the wisdom in The Tao.

Surprisingly, I was invited to the reading and sharing activity. As the saying goes, there are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand people’s eyes. Because of different experience, we shared our feelings and related experience from various of perspectives. I learned a lot from the sharing. Taoism is not so far away from our lives. With the expectation and the motivation from family, society and cultural background, we make efforts to push ourselves. The stress has increased in a “rolling snowball” fashion. To some degree, emptiness does make a difference to mindfulness.
I benefited a lot from this reading party. The form of group communication encouraged everyone to express their opinions. And sparks of thought were generated in the joyful and close communication. We used the Taoism in the book to analyze our study life, to share with each other our troubles in this busy and competitive society, and to temporarily follow the thought of Pooh in order to heal our wounded hearts. In this process, in turn, we have deepened our understanding of Taoism and gained the nourishment of our souls. In short, I enjoyed it very much. And I believe this book will continue to exert a positive influence on my long life.
